Those who have seen Kevin Kline in action have probably drawn the
conclusion by now that although he may not have taken the multitude of roles
that other Hollywood actors have, he throws himself into every role he
takes. He strives to do what he does well, and it shows! So far he has
earned an Oscar (1988) as well as two Tony awards, and he doesn't appear
to be quitting any time soon.
Kline didn't come to Hollywood a greenhorn, however. He studied
drama at the oh-so-prestigious Julliard school, and then went on to
tour with John Houseman's Acting Company for four years. He spent quite
a lot of time on Broadway, and performed in a whole slew of Broadway
shows, doing some highly acclaimed work in the process.(Did I mention
the two Tony awards?) He's shown talent both in comedy and with
dramatic roles, so film buffs all over will surely be seeing him in
the future.
