Kevin Bacon has been seen on the stage and screen since the late 1970s, in a wide variety of roles, making him a very seasoned actor. He shows a lot of versatility with the different roles he's played, ranging from a gay prosititute (JFK), to a rebellious (and very straight) dancing youth (Footloose), and everything else beyond and in between! He's also worked in numerous films with countless other well-known stars of the stage and screen. He's worked with so many different actors and actresses that he inspired a Kevin Bacon game, known as Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.

Not only is he an accomplished actor, but he's also forging his way into other fields. In 1996 he made his directorial debut with Losing Chase, which starred Helen Mirren and wife Kyra Sedgwick. He has also made his way into the realm of music, with the help of his brother Michael. They both formed a band together, The Bacon Brothers, and they appeared at many northeastern clubs, playing their colorful folk/rock/soul/country music. The band released its first album, "Forosoco" (get it? FOlk/ROck/SOul/COuntry!) in November 1997.
